Traditional Irish Music in NYC

The CUNY Institute for Irish-American Studies is proud to host the "Center for Traditional Irish-American Music." Dr. Scott Spencer and Traditional Irish-American Musician in Residence John Redmond have organized concerts and lectures with a number of traditional Irish-American musicians. Most recently, they have hosted six public interviews/performances as a pilot project to document the face of Irish-American traditional music in New York City (2008-2009). They are also currently working on a CD which will celebrate the best of traditional music at the Institute for Irish-American Studies.
